Carried Away Gourmet offering cooking classes If you like what’s cooking at Bel Air’s Carried Away Gourmet (www.carriedawaygourmet.com) you’ll like what Chef David Micozzi is planning next. In May, the café began a Wine Bar Thursdays and Fridays, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. “We pair wines with small plates of food – cheeses, olives and bread – tapas style,” Micozzi said. This is in addition to offering grab and go breakfasts, sandwich and salad lunches, on-site meeting facilities and residential as well as business catering, he noted. In June, Micozzi begins teaching cooking classes that focus on cultural and vegetarian cuisine. Besides holding a Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts from Rhode Island’s Johnson & Wales University, he has traveled to Fiji, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Africa and Europe to sample authentic international cuisine. He has more than 16 years in the field. Go the restaurant’s Web site for more information.
