Preschool and child care provider Celebree Learning Centers is the exclusive sponsor of the pre-school segment of the Harford County Public Library’s summer reading program, which will begin June 16. Celebree owner Richard Huffman recently presented a $5,000 check to County Library Director Audra Caplan, Library Foundation Vice-President Terence Hanley and County Chief of Staff Aaron Tomarchio.
This year’s theme is “Catch the Reading Bug!” Children will read, study and learn about bugs in all forms, from microscopic invaders to the ones that invade computers. Each of the county library’s 11 branches will have calendar of events incorporating crafts, games and learning along with awards and prizes.
Participants will receive a free gift when the register, while supplies last. For more information go to www.hcplonline.info
The pre-school “Read To Me” program is for children up to five. Last year more than 15,000 youngsters took part in the county library system’s summer reading program.
Richard Huffman founded Celebree under the name Enchanted Child Care in the Enchanted Forest Shopping Center in Ellicott City.
