Havre de Grace begins another season of First Friday celebration with the first event May 2, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The First Fridays series is sponsored by Havre de Grace Main Street, Inc.

With sponsorship by the Residences of Bulle Rock, the season opener will kick off with live music in the streets of the downtown shopping area, a beer garden, a Main Street Expo and entertainment for kids, including face painting and Choo Choo Charlie and his balloons.

Shops and restaurants will have specials and stay open late. There will be an antique and special interest car show on Franklin Street. Anyone with a vehicle fitting those categories is invited to park on Franklin Street and join the show.

Music will be provided by Grammy nominated SONiA & disappear fear, using folk-pop music to send their message of peace from a stage at Washington Street and Pennington Avenue. Eighteen year old DaNica will be performing at First Fridays again this year, singing outside Bahoukas Collectables and Beer Muzeum at Franklin Street and Union Avenue, where the beer garden will be located.
