Kimberly Wagner receives Good Scout Award


Businesswoman and volunteer Kimberly L. Wagner is this year’s recipient of the Harford Boy Scout’s Senator Bob Hooper Good Scout Award. Wagner received the award April 17 during a ceremony at the Maryland Golf and Country Clubs in Bel Air.

Wagner is vice president of Tritronics, Inc., a family owned and operated consumer electronics parts distributor with facilities in Abingdon and Miami, FL.
A graduate of Towson University, Loyola College and the University of Baltimore School of Law, Wagner is a member of the Harford County and Maryland State bar associations. She is a past president of the Harford County Bar Foundation, Inc., which provides free legal services to income eligible clients in Harford County.

For many years Wagner has done volunteer work with Court Appointed Special Advocates, providing legal support as well as companionship and mentoring to clients, mostly children in foster care or guardianship programs. As an attorney, she has represented children from low-income families in divorce and custody cases and has been appointed by the courts to provide investigation and intervention in cases involving children in crisis.

Wagner has been a member of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce since 1989, serving on its committees and board of directors. She also is a board member of the Small Business Development Center for Harford County and serves on the Women’s Business Programs Advisory Board.

Wagner is a founding member of WINGS of Harford County, a society of women philanthropists. She is a member of Harford Business for Responsive Government, the Harford Business Roundtable, the Rt. 40 Business Association and the Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network. Wagner graduated from the Harford Leadership Academy and serves on its board of directors.
Her past awards include the 100 Year Award from the Office of Family Court Service, the Athena Award and the Harford Award.

Wagner is married to attorney Charles Wagner. The Wagners, members of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard, have two daughters, one a student at the University of Kutztown, the other a fourth grader at Ring Factor Elementary School.
