Haggray Is New Vice President For Instruction At Harford Community College

haggrayHarford Community College announces the appointment of Dr. Annette Haggray as Vice President for Instruction.  Dr. Haggray assumed her duties at Harford on Aug. 10.  For the past 15 years, she has held key administrative positions within community colleges. 

She received a B.A. and an M.A. from North Carolina Central University and earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration/Professional Studies from Iowa State University.

Prior to joining Harford Community College, Haggray had most recently served as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Ill.  She previously served as Dean, Academic Alternatives and Instructional Support Division at College of DuPage for nine years.   As Dean, she had administrative responsibility for the following programs:  COD Online, Adult Education/English as a Second Language, Academic Support Center, Centers for Independent Learning, Adult Fast Track, Part-Time Faculty Centers, Field/Experiential Learning, Interdisciplinary Studies, International Education/Study Abroad, Off Campus Regional Centers, Instructional Development, Assessment and Testing, Community Development, and Multicultural Programs.

Other professional experience includes Director, The Learning Center, El Centro College (Dallas, Texas); Coordinator of Residence Life, Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa); Coordinator, Community Services, Kaiser Permanente (Raleigh, North Carolina); Coordinator, Physician Recruitment Program, North Carolina Department of Human Resources (Raleigh, North Carolina); and Assistant Professor/Faculty Coordinator, Educational Technology Department, St. Augustine’s College (Raleigh, North Carolina). In addition, she taught high school students in Virginia.

commentHaggray was selected to participate in the American Association of Community Colleges’ Presidential leadership mentoring program for prospective college presidents and the National Institute for Leadership Development.
