Penney opens catalog store in Festival Jack McLaughlin
After an absence of almost five years, JCPenney again has a catalog store in Harford County. The store is in the Postal Solution store in the Festival at Bel Air shopping center off Rt. 24 near Bel Air. JCPenney had a catalog store in the Campus Hill shopping center that closed in 2004. The nearest JC Penney department store is in White Marsh. “We’ve lived in Bel Air for more than 20 years and were costumers of the old Churchville catalog store, ” said Postal Solutions owners Patrick and Diane Collins in a news release about the new JCPenney store. “We’re happy to be part of bringing the convenience and quality of the JCPenney brand back to our neighbors.” JCPenney customers have the option of having phone or online orders delivered to the catalog store for pickup, saving on shipping costs. Merchandise can be ordered online at the in store kiosk or with the help of a sales associate. Merchandise can be returned to the store for replacement or refund. JCPenney credit card payments can be made at the store and gift cards can be purchased there. Copies of the JCPenney fall and winter catalog are available as are specialty catalogs. JCPenney has 1,093 department stores throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, apparel and home furnishing on the Internet, as well as it general merchandise catalog business. The company, which posted $19.9 billion in revenue in 2007, employs more than 155,000 people nationwide. Postal Solutions is one of the few original tenants of the Festival of Bel Air still in operation since the shopping center opened in 1989. The Collins are the third owners of the business. Postal Solutions is an authorized shipping center for UPS and FEDEx and is a U.S. Post Office. It provides notary and fax services, document duplication, mail box rentals, greeting cards and office, shipping, packing and moving supplies.
