La Chic holds May 18 cut-a-thon fund raiser

Donna Varady, owner of La Chic Salon in Bel Air, will hold her annual cut-a-thon fund raiser to benefit cancer care programs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 18.

All proceeds will be donated to Upper Chesapeake Health Cancer LifeNet, which provides cancer education, symptom management, complementary medicine, referral and life end care and bereavement counseling.

Employees at the beauty salon and day spa at 200 Hays Street will donate their fees for haircuts, styles, manicures, chair massages and waxing. Themed gift baskets will be raffled and light refreshments will be served. Advance appointments are available with walk-ins on a first come basis.
