The following Monday and Tuesday, they were in Washington D.C. for honors by the national SBA organization. On Tuesday, along with other state winners, the three met with President Barack Obama in the East Wing of the White House.

“It was very interesting and enlightening. (The President) addressed a lot of concerns of small business, reinforced his policies he believes will help build small businesses and support the owners of them,” said Reed Rippen, chief operating officer at RTR Technologies, LLC.

RTR Technologies, LLC was nominated for the award by Harford County Economic Development. Prior to receiving this recognition, the company was recognized by Smart CEO Magazine’s Fast 50.

In 2006, with loan guarantees from the SBA, RTR Technologies, LLC moved into corporate office space. The company how has 16 full-time and six part-time employees, two college interns and 20 field data sub-contractors.
