Academy graduates 15 deputies, one police officer

Deputy Mark Jordan received the Firearms Proficiency Award for expertise demonstrated during training at the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy recently held commencement exercises for recruits of Entrance Level Class 27. Fifteen Harford County deputies and one Bel Air Police Department officer completed the rigorous 28-week program that included law enforcement, criminal justice and firearms training.

More than 100 family members, friends and dignitaries attended the commencement, held Dec. 9 at John Carroll High School. Graduating were Allen Frederick, Jr.; Thomas French, Jr.; Amy Giannini; Thomas Jackson; Mark Jordan; Donald Licato; James Norman, Jr.; Kevin Phillips; William Salvas; Andrew Sampson; Derek Seman; Brett Smoot; Trent Thomas; Tyler Vass, Ronnell Webb and Michael Wilsynski.
