Teter wins SBA award

russell_teterRussell Teter, Director of the Maryland Small Business Development Center at Harford Community College, has been chosen as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Minority Small Business Champion of the Year for Maryland.

Teter is among the recipients of the 2010 Maryland Small Business Week Awards, who will be honored at a breakfast May 21 at Martin’s West in Woodlawn.

Each year the President of the United States declares national small business week recognizing the contributions of the small business community to the nation’s economy.

Nominations for awards in several categories are sought from every SBA district office in the countries. Winners on the district level advance to regional competition and from there on to the national level. National Small Business Week activities will be held the week of May 24 in Washington, D.C.
