Virtual Job Fair features videos, live chat Mary Paramore The Susquehanna Workforce Network (SWN) and Army Alliance Inc. are teaming up to present a Virtual Job Fair Dec. 10-20. Sylvia Matusiak, a SWN business services representative, said “It’s just like a regular job fair, but online.” What that means for job seekers is 24/7 access to job listings, links to videos about employers posting jobs and appointments for live chats with hiring managers. “The site can be viewed now, but will be open for business at 12:01 a.m. Dec. 10,” Matusiak said. She believes the event is the first of its kind in Harford County, and is definitely the first in this workforce region. “Our executive director, Bruce England, came across the idea and wanted to try it. We’ve been on a short time line for this,” she said Friday, shortly after a live run-through for participating employers. Matusiak noted employers can register to participate even after the job fair opens and that job seekers do not need to register. She said, “Just go to our Web site.” Participating employers as of Dec. 4 are APG-CHRA, CTSC, LLC, C4ISR, URS/Washington Division, Log.Sec and Tepco Holdings (Delmarva Power).
