Notice of New Items Accepted by the Office of Recycling Nov. 19, 2009 – The Office of Recycling has announced the addition of new items being accepted at the Harford Waste Disposal Center in Scarboro. Effective immediately, the Office of Recycling will accept certain electronic equipment. Among the items now being accepted for recycling at the Scarboro landfill include televisions, however no console or projection TVs, CPUs, monitors, keyboards, printers, laptops, scanners, central processing units, power supplies, cables and cords, as well as DVD players, small electronic appliances, miscellaneous circuit boards, chips and cards, telephones, including cell phones, answering machines, stereos, fax machines and video display devices. The expanded list of electronic equipment and items will be accepted at the Harford Waste Disposal Center six days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additionally, these items will be accepted without charge by Harford County.
