FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 9, 2009 Public Meeting Scheduled on Expansion of February 9, 2009 - - A public meeting to discuss the proposed expansion of the Harford Waste to Energy facility has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2009. The meeting will be held at Joppa-Magnolia Middle School in the media center. The evening will begin at 6:30 pm with an open poster session followed by a presentation and question and answer session beginning at 7:00 pm. A variety of officials will be on hand for the event. Representatives from Aberdeen Proving Ground will present the findings of the Environmental Assessment, the Northeast Maryland Waste Disposal Authority will provide an overview of the proposed facility and representatives from Harford County Government will be available to answer questions pertaining to solid waste management and traffic issues. A draft of the Environmental Assessment is available for viewing at all branches of the Harford County Public Library System. In case of cancellation due to inclement weather, the meeting will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the same time and location.
