FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 9, 2009 County Executive Begins Web Blog April 9, 2009 - - Harford County Executive David R. Craig has established a Web blog on the Harford County Government Web site. The blog is the latest in a number of initiatives the county executive has utilized to enhance communication with the general public. “Our new blog will provide a venue for the citizens and I to discuss issues of importance facing our county. Local Government represents the truest practice of our American democracy, where citizens can take part in and affect the community around them, and local officials are held personally accountable. County Executive Craig stated. The initial blog entry from the county executive focuses on the proposed FY 2010 budget for Harford County Government. Other topics that may follow include managing growth, comprehensive zoning review, and matters pertaining to public education to mention a few. “The County Executive’s blog is a forum I look forward to using on a regular basis to communicate with the people of Harford County what government is doing for them and what we hope to do to improve the quality of life in our county,” the county executive stated.
